Indoor Mosaic: Zodiac - Aquarius

This mixed media mosaic is part of my new zodiac collection for 2025.

It has been designed for use indoors. Each one is unique and made from a hand picked selection of materials from a choice of cabachons, zodiac charms, vintage china, glass, mirror, Czech glass beads, mother of pearl moons,star charms, light catching  glass, millefiori and more. These zodiac stars make a thoughtful individual gift.

Aquarius (21 Jan - 19 Feb), air sign 
There are so much information about the zodiac signs out there, that I couldn’t possibly have fitted all elements in my designs.  Instead, I have taken a few facts that have inspired an artistic inspiration of this zodiac symbol:
Birthstone: Amethyst
The primary birthstone for Aquarius, amethyst is a purple gemstone that symbolizes clarity, spiritual growth, and protection. It's also said to have calming properties and can help with emotional stability. 
Symbolism: While Aquarius is an air sign, it is symbolically linked to water because it represents the flow of ideas, emotions, and social connections. The act of pouring water can symbolize the sharing of knowledge and humanitarian ideals.
Colours:  Blue and green - The name suggests it all; think aqua and you have your colour palette right there: fresh, vibrant blues and sea greens.

It has been finished with black glitter grout.
